Emara received the IEEE Caixin Sun and Stan Grzybowski Best Student Paper Award in 2020 IEEE International Conference on High Voltage Engineering and Application “ICHVE 2020”, Beijing, China, September 10, 2020, for the presentation of the paper entitled «Thermal and Electrical Conductivities for Ester Oil Based Graphene Nano-sheets».

The High Voltage Laboratory of NTUA was honored for its contribution to the certification of electrical and electronic equipment in the international exhibition Elec.tec 2020.

PhD candidate (University of Patras) Mr. Georgios D. Peppas received the Best Student Paper Award in 2016 IEEE International Conference on High Voltage Engineering and Application “ICHVE 2016”, Chengdu, China, September 19-22, 2016, for the presentation of the paper entitled «Dielectric Study of Self Assembled Nanofluids by Means of AC Breakdown Tests and Dielectric Relaxation Spectroscopy».

PhD Candidate Eleni P. Nikolopoulou received the award for best student work at the 19th International Symposium on High-Voltage Engineering (ISH 2015), Pilsen, Czech Republic, August 28, 2015, for the presentation entitled ‘Experimental evaluation of lightning protection zone through impulse voltage tests On a scaled down ship model».

Dr. Pavlos Katsivelis received the Second Metrology Award from the Scientific Committee of HellasLab for his doctoral thesis entitled «Contribution to the electrostatic discharge study», Athens, May 10, 2014.

PhD candidate Mrs. Eleni P. Nicolopoulou received the Best Student Paper Award in 33th International Conference of Lightning Protection (ICLP 2016), Estoril, Portugal, September 30, 2013, for the presentation of the paper entitled «Investigation of lightning incidence on ships».

PhD candidate Mrs. Eleni P. Nicolopoulou received the Best Student Paper Award in 18th International Symposium on High-Voltage Engineering (ISH 2013), Seoul, South Korea, August 30, 2013, for the presentation of the paper entitled «Experimental application of the similarity theory on scaled strip electrode configurations for the calculation of the grounding impedance».

The High Voltage Laboratory of National Technical University of Athens received the honorary quality distinction from eco Q magazine in 2004.

PhD candidate Mr. Georgios P. Fotis received the Best Paper Award (B. Papadias) in 38th International Universities Power Engineering Conference (UPEC), Thessaloniki, Greece, September 7, 2003 for the presentation of the paper entitled «Selection of the Optimal Insulator Type for a new Overhead Transmission Line, using the Method of the Multicriterial Decision Making».

Dr. Ioannis F. Gonos received the Best Paper Award in 13th International Symposium on High-Voltage Engineering (ISH 2003), Delft, Holland, August 29, 2003, for the presentation of the paper entitled «Study of the Dielectric Behaviour of non-uniforming Polluted Insulators».
